Mackenzie Carter - 4th Runner-Up
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
The fall! It represents so many happy things, I love rainy weather! It brings an excuse to cuddle up to the fire reading and drinking hot chocolate. Thanksgiving comes in fall which is a favorite holiday spent with family...AND the start of volleyball season, my passion.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Not many people know that I lived in Ensenada, Mexico in the 5th grade. That period of time fostered the love I have for serving others and Christ as well as my love of languages.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
My hometown is Bakersfield but I’m from McFarland, California. It is the epitome of a small farming town where I grew up on an almond orchard; our closest neighbors a mile away. I am a "cowgirl at heart" and have been raised with constant love from this close knit town.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
My worst habit and unfortunately a favorite is coffee! This is a new habit that I owe to my friend Liz. After studying for finals in December, Her thoughtfulness in a single cup of coffee sparked my love for it and now it’s a morning ritual!
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
I would travel to Spain! I absolutely love the Spanish language and due to my Spanish 4AP class this semester, studying culture, strength of their traditions, and love for family (a big part of my family as well) in Spain, makes me want to travel there even more.
