1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
The funniest thing I believed as a child was that unicorns were real. Growing up on our ranch we had horses and I would always check the tops of each of the horses heads to see if the horn was coming in. I believed unicorns were so beautiful and majestic. Additionally, growing up I would always watch My Little Pony and thought that maybe I would come across an amazing creature and it would use its unicorn powers to protect me.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
One talent I wish I had is figure skating. I already know the basics to Ice Skating but I would love to become a figure skater. I always watch the Olympics and the skaters always look so graceful and show off their amazing skills. Ice skating is a way for me to be fearless and gain confidence. I would like to be a part of a group that has the same interests as me and be able to express myself freely on the ice while dancing.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
Other than my family, my biggest supporter is my friend Katie. We have been friends ever since I was a little kid. She always leads me on the right path and gives me wonderful life advice. She recently moved overseas but we still keep in contact and praise me for everything I have achieved. Other than my family, Katie was there to help me when I was getting bullied because she encouraged me to stand up for myself. She was one of the people who led me to my platform “Prevention of Bullying” where I am actively spreading my message, giving others the resources to identify and prevent bullying.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
The best costume I've ever worn for Halloween is Princess Tiana From Princess and The Frog. I always wanted to be Princess Tiana because of her kind serving heart for others, her passion for cooking, her beautiful singing skills and her journey to her crown. Now that I grew up and look back, Tiana and I are just alike, such as my pageantry pathway, my passion for cooking with my family, being family oriented, sweet and meeting new people through my journeys.
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
A song that makes me 100% of the time want to dance is Who You Are by Jessie J. Since I was child I always admired Jessie J and saw her as a strong independent woman who rocked the world by storm. When I got bullied I went through a dark point in my life and this song was my motivation. When this song came out I felt like someone finally understood me. It gave me affirmation to say it’s okay to be me and don’t beat yourself up over people's actions or words because you can only control yourself . Additionally, it’s okay not to be okay and I think what a lot of people need to understand is you don’t always have to be this perfect person. It amazes me that someone like Jessie J went through struggles in life and was able to not only conquer her struggles but through her struggles sent a powerful message.
